Landmines remain one of the longest-lasting hazards after conflict ends. Manual clearance is slow, expensive, and dangerous — and the scale of contamination in many regions makes traditional approaches impossible to keep up with.
AeroRozum is building a different path: persistent aerial mapping that finds likely danger zones before anyone steps into the field.
The core idea
Our platform combines three capabilities that are rarely integrated in a single system:
- Solar-powered endurance — land, recharge, and resume missions with minimal ground support
- Night thermal mapping — identify surface anomalies and minefield patterns after dark
- ML-assisted review — process imagery to support ordnance classification and analyst workflows
Why it matters now
Ukraine alone has hundreds of thousands of square kilometers potentially contaminated. Humanitarian demining teams need better intelligence before they deploy — not more people walking blind into suspected areas.
Our goal is direct: fewer people exposed to landmines, more land returned to safe use.
